Knitted Grass Tops, Burnam Lot - October 2004
A huge, newly vacant lot sits at a major convergence of traffic. After the demolishion of Burnam Hospital, which used to occupy the site, grasses start to grow back and a small "pond" keeps resurfacing after the rain. Three small artificial pods are knitted to tall stalks of grass. Each pod is cast on with one stalk of grass and knitted around two more, providing the pods with a triangular support.
